Cover Letter Copilot

Cover Letter Copilot is an AI tool that writes cover letters for job applications. You provide your resume and the job description, and it creates a complete, personalised draft in under a minute. The goal is to remove the blank-page problem so you can spend your time on preparing for interviews instead.

How it works

After you add your resume and the job posting, the AI matches your experience to what the employer is asking for and writes a full letter. You are then taken to a built-in rich text editor. You can edit any sentence yourself, regenerate a single paragraph with one click, or ask the AI to rewrite a section. You can also adjust the tone, the length and the focus areas, for example making a letter more formal or shorter.

The company says its AI is trained on thousands of successful applications and recruiter feedback, and that it optimises keywords for applicant tracking systems, the software many employers use to filter applications. Letters use professional formatting.

Pricing

The site presents itself as a free AI cover letter generator, and you can create letters without paying. Some features or higher usage may need a paid plan, so check the pricing details in your account.

Who it is for

It suits job seekers applying to many roles, graduates writing their first letters, career changers who struggle to explain transferable skills, and non-native English speakers who want a clear first draft. The site reports more than 1.2 million users across many countries.

Things to consider

A cover letter should sound like you, so always edit the draft. Check that every claim about your experience is true; AI tools can overstate skills or add details that are not in your resume. Recruiters notice generic phrasing, so add a specific reason why you want this job and this company. Keyword optimisation can help with screening software, but no tool can guarantee a letter gets past every system or reaches a human. Read the privacy policy before uploading a resume, since it contains personal details. Figures such as user counts and the share of letters filtered out are the company's own claims.
