Overview

Felo Subtitles is a desktop app that adds real-time transcription and translated subtitles to online meetings and videos. It is built for multilingual meetings, where participants speak different languages and need to follow along, and for watching foreign-language content. It works with Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and YouTube.
Real-time subtitles
During a meeting, Felo Subtitles recognises speech automatically and shows translated subtitles, with translation appearing within about a second according to the company. Several languages can be supported in the same meeting, which helps international teams where people switch languages. Because the app runs on your own computer, no bot joins the call. That keeps the meeting free of extra participants and avoids asking hosts for permission to add a recording assistant, which the company presents as a privacy benefit.
Meeting minutes and YouTube
Beyond live subtitles, Felo Subtitles can create meeting minutes and summaries from what was said, and lets you share subtitles with others. It can also generate multilingual subtitles for YouTube videos, which is useful for learning or research from content in other languages.
Dictionaries for technical terms
Two features help with specialist vocabulary. A speech dictionary teaches the recogniser names and terms it might otherwise get wrong. A translation dictionary sets how specific terms should be translated. Limits depend on the plan. The comparison table lists a speech dictionary of up to 200 words for individuals and 500 for business plans, and translation dictionaries of 1,000 to 5,000 pairs.
Platforms and pricing
The app runs on Windows 10 and later, and on macOS 14.4 and later, on both Intel and Apple Silicon. It can be downloaded and tried for free. Paid Personal, Business and Enterprise plans differ by usage and dictionary limits and target individuals, teams and large organisations respectively. Check the pricing page for current prices.
Who it is for
It suits international teams, people attending meetings in a second language, sales staff working with overseas clients, and learners watching foreign-language video.
Things to consider
Real-time machine translation is very useful but not perfect. For contracts, negotiations or anything legally binding, confirm key points in writing. Let other participants know when you are transcribing a meeting, as consent rules vary by country and by company.
