Overview

StudySim is an AI study workspace that builds study materials from your own course content. Students add PDFs, notes, slides, lecture recordings and YouTube lessons, and the tool turns them into study guides, flashcards, practice quizzes and two-speaker study podcasts. Each class or exam gets its own named study space, so sources and study tools stay together. The product is currently labelled as a beta.
Study spaces
You create a study space, for example for a biology midterm or a history final, and add several types of sources. The interactive sample on the site shows a space with a PDF chapter, a set of lecture notes and a YouTube video. From those sources, you can generate a study guide with several sections, a deck of notecards, a multiple-choice or written quiz and a short podcast with two speakers discussing the material. One-click defaults keep setup quick.
Free preview
After creating an account and adding sources, you can generate one short personalised preview without paying. It includes one key idea from your material, three quick notes and one practice question with an answer. It is a sample rather than a full guide, deck, quiz or podcast.
Pricing
StudySim Pro costs $1 for the first three days, then $20 per month, or $120 per year, which works out at $10 a month. Pro includes full study guide generation, notecards, multiple-choice and written quizzes, two-speaker podcasts, up to 15 sources per study space and up to 50 generations per tool each day. A credit card is required for Pro, and the recurring plan starts after three days unless cancelled. Prices are in US dollars.
Who it suits
StudySim suits college and university students who have a lot of course material and want quick ways to review it, especially those who learn well from audio and practice questions.
Things to consider
AI summaries and quiz answers can contain mistakes, so check them against your notes and textbook. Make sure you are allowed to upload lecture recordings and course materials. Set a reminder before the three-day introductory period ends if you do not want to continue. Active recall works best when you also write your own answers rather than only reading generated material.
