Overview

PublicView is a research platform for public-company SEC filings. It combines grounded AI chat with a visual knowledge graph, relationship tables, event timelines and real-time filing alerts. Its premise is that the most important information in filings, such as risks, complex transactions, executive changes, legal matters and insider trades, is easy to miss in hundreds of pages of legal boilerplate. PublicView tries to make that material searchable and verifiable.
How it works
You pick companies by ticker, CIK or company name, choose how deep the analysis should go, then ask questions, explore the results and verify them against the source text. Behind the scenes, PublicView fetches new SEC documents, resolves the issuer and filing context, parses and chunks the legal text, retrieves and ranks relevant excerpts, and generates answers that stay attached to the source material. Entities and relationships are then extracted for the graph and timeline views.
Features
Grounded chat answers plain-English questions about a company's filings with inline citations, so you can inspect the exact excerpts behind each answer. It supports context-aware follow-ups and comparisons across companies. The knowledge graph maps companies, people, products, ownership, strategy and risk into an explorable network. A relationships table answers who is connected to whom and how. The timeline follows dated events across filing periods to show how strategy, leadership and risks changed. Watchlists send AI-summarised alerts when an 8-K, 10-Q or Form 4 is filed, which helps with tracking insider activity.
Modes
Quick Mode is designed for fast Q&A and fact extraction, with grounded chat. Deep Mode is meant for company research and adds the knowledge graph, relationships table and event timeline. Track Mode monitors filings for critical updates as they arrive.
Who it is for
The site lists investors, analysts, founders researching competitors from S-1s, lawyers reviewing legal and regulatory matters, journalists tracking corporate events, and operators monitoring customers, suppliers or partners.
Pricing
PublicView Pro costs $9.99 USD a month after a three-day free trial. A card is required to start, taxes may apply, and you can cancel at any time.
Things to consider
Because answers are cited, check the linked excerpts before relying on a figure or claim. PublicView covers SEC filings, so it is most useful for US-listed companies and doesn't replace financial advice.
