Krikey AI is an AI animation maker for creating 3D animated videos from simple text or video prompts. Its pitch is animation with no rigging, no keyframing and no technical knowledge, so teachers, creators and marketing teams can make cartoon-style videos in minutes. Krikey also runs inside Canva, ChatGPT and Adobe Express, and says more than 100,000 creators, teachers and marketing teams use it.

Tools in the suite

Talking avatars turn a text prompt into an explainer video, tutorial, lesson or social video with a speaking 3D character. The AI character creator lets you upload an image, select a style and generate a 3D character model, with automatic rigging for full-body animation and lip sync. The AI music video generator takes a genre and lyric topic and produces a music video with a singing 3D character, for invitations or marketing jingles. Transparent GIF export creates looping animations with no background, up to 4K. The AI podcast video generator turns a text prompt or blog post link into an animated podcast clip. An augmented reality mode lets you scan a QR code so the character appears in your room through your camera.

Characters

You can upload a photo to create a custom cartoon character or choose from a gallery of ready-made characters. Examples made with Krikey include HR explainer videos, birthday cards, kids' show characters and motion capture animations.

Pricing

Krikey has a free plan for getting started. Paid plans use credits: the Pro plan includes 165 credits a month for individual creators, and the Teams plan includes 600 credits for studios and agencies. A talking avatar video uses 8 credits, a music video 7, a custom 3D avatar 40 and a voice or script edit 4. A calculator on the pricing page helps you estimate monthly needs.

Things to consider

Get consent before turning photos of real people, especially children, into characters. Stylised avatars suit explainers and social content but may not match studio-quality animation. Check the licence terms for commercial use of exports.
