Overview

Craiyon is about as simple as AI image generation gets. Type what you want in your own words and in your own language, leave style and shape on Auto or pick them, and it returns images in seconds. Craiyon says it's free with no account needed.
The homepage lists the kinds of things people make with it: logos, posters and flyers, infographics, photos, paintings, drawings, profile pictures, wallpapers, cartoons, colouring pages, tattoos, stickers, memes, comics and cards. You can tell it what to leave out, start from a photo you upload, or browse a daily gallery and open any image to see the prompt behind it.
Craiyon has also added editing tools: a photo editor, background remover, image upscaler, image-to-SVG vectoriser and animation. These run on edit credits, which are used whenever an image is an input. Generating from text alone never uses credits.
Free and paid plans
The free version gives you limited image generation plus free daily edit credits. Free images are public, and the paid plans exist mostly to change that. Every paid plan includes no watermarks, private images, HD downloads, no attribution requirement and access to Craiyon's highest-quality model. The three tiers on the pricing page:
- Supporter: unlimited images and 100 edit credits a month.
- Professional: 300 edit credits a month, top-priority processing and early access to new features.
- Ultra: 1,200 edit credits a month, four times Professional, for daily editing and video.
Yearly billing gives two months free. The dollar prices didn't load in our automated check, so see craiyon.com/pricing for current rates. Sales are non-refundable, but you can cancel in one click and keep access until the end of the term. Checked October 2026.
Who should use it
Anyone who wants a quick image for a slide, a social post or a school project without signing up or learning prompt syntax. It's also an easy first step for people curious about AI images.
Pros: no account required; works in many languages; text-only generation never touches your credits.
Cons: free images are public and watermarked; the free tier is slower at busy times; serious editing needs a paid plan.
Alternatives
For more control and better models, try Leonardo.Ai or NightCafe. Canva is better if you need the image inside a finished design.
