Overview

Carepatron is an all-in-one practice management platform for healthcare and wellness practitioners. It brings scheduling, client communication, telehealth, clinical documentation, billing and reporting into one system, with AI features to reduce paperwork. It serves behavioural health, medical, allied health and wellness professionals, including therapists, speech-language pathologists and clinic teams.
Growing your practice
Online booking lets clients schedule appointments themselves, and automatic reminders help reduce no-shows. Client messaging works through SMS and email.
Running sessions
Built-in telehealth video lets you see clients remotely, and you can take notes during the session. Treatment plans help organise care over time.
AI documentation
The updated AI Scribe drafts notes for you, which can then be turned into clinical notes. This is aimed at reducing time spent on documentation after sessions. Carepatron AI also appears as a wider set of features across the platform.
Billing
Carepatron handles invoicing and insurance billing, and supports online payments, so you can get paid faster from the same system.
Running the practice
Practice management and reporting tools give an overview of the business. A new Carepatron API and integrations connect it to other tools, and the company has pages on compliance and security.
Customer stories
Customer stories on the site include a speech-language pathologist in the United States and the founder of Beehyve Health in New Zealand, showing the range of professions and countries using it.
Pricing
You can get started for free or book a demo. At the time of writing, the site advertised a limited-time offer of $1 a month for the first three months or 50% off the first year, ending 30 October; check the pricing page for current plans.
Things to consider
Health records carry strict legal obligations, such as HIPAA in the US and similar laws elsewhere, so confirm that Carepatron meets the requirements in your country, sign any required agreements and configure access controls. AI-drafted notes must be reviewed by the clinician before they become part of the record, since errors can affect care. Tell clients if sessions are recorded or transcribed, and get their consent. Check insurance billing support for your country and payers.
