Overview

TourMe turns travel into a bite‑size adventure. By playing short stories, you collect virtual postcards and earn experience points while exploring the cultural highlights of Mexico. The interface is built for mobile devices and operates in English and Spanish.
The core of the app is a set of “series.” Each series guides you through a theme, ancient civilizations, street food, modern art, or the Day of the Dead. A series locks in a linear narrative: you listen to a story, answer a quick quiz, and then receive a collectible card that represents a landmark, figure, or artifact. When you collect enough cards of a type you can exchange them on an in‑app market with other players. This trading feature turns a solitary listening experience into a multiplayer one; you can broker a Legendary Estadio Azteca card for a Mythic Cantinflas card if you have both.
Cards come in two categories. Legendary cards, such as Estadio Azteca or Museo Nacional de Antropología, depict well‑known sites or figures. Mythic cards, like Cantinflas or the eagle and serpent on the flag, focus on legends or lesser‑known figures. Collecting cards awards feathers; completing a chapter awards XP and increases your level. Feathers and XP are displayed in a progress meter that updates after each story, motivating repeat play.
A virtual guide named Coli appears beside each story. Coli offers jokes, memes, and brief facts about Mexico. During a story about Frida Kahlo, for example, Coli might drop a line about her use of red paint, then encourage you to keep your streak alive. Similarly, when you play a story about Tenochtitlán, Coli flags the flag's serpents and eagles as Aztec prophecy. Coli also reminds you of your streak, how many days you've played consecutively, and the number of feathers you've earned but not yet traded.
The app focuses solely on Mexico; the listing does not mention support for other countries or languages beyond English and Spanish. The content is formatted as audio stories with optional text, appealing to travelers, students, or families who prefer short, interactive lessons over long reading. The trade and streak systems add a gamified layer that may not suit users who dislike competition or social features.
